| STAR strategies + architecture was founded in 2006 in Rotterdam. STAR is a practice of architecture, urban design, and research that has received several awards in international architecture and urban planning competitions in The Netherlands, Spain, and China. STAR collaborated with Rem Koolhaas in the developing of “The Image of Europe” for Vienna in 2006. STAR is working on a study about the European City that has been presented in several magazines and congresses.
STAR is directed by Beatriz Ramo. She studied in Valencia and in Eindhoven. She has worked for Bosch Architects in Amsterdam and O.M.A. (Office for Metropolitan Architecture) in Rotterdam. Beatriz Ramo have lectured in several European universities and institutes (Delft, Arnhem, Sevilla, Barcelona …) and ran a research studio at the AAS Academy of Architecture in Tilburg last winter. Several magazines have published articles, researches, and projects from STAR.
