| The 110-room hotel is placed between the highway and a new residential area in the periphery of Madrid. It will be a hotel for business people and a place of activity and reference for the area. It contains a double program, two buildings in one: the rooms will be placed in the outer ring and the rest of the program (Gym, Spa, Library, Congress Rooms, a Bar and a Restaurant) will be in the core of the building. Both, guest and people from the area can use the building independently. The room is treated like a one single space, having the main circulation around the bed, which is the physical and psychological most important piece of the room. The only fix element, the toilet box, contains four sliding walls that allowed to divide the room according to the activity and required privacy of the users. |
