| Thus, our proposal focuses on the creation of a temporal rather than spatial strategy. To aid our endeavour, an alternative exurban morphology in which each block; be it residential, institutional, or commercial, centring around a plaza is developed. Although the plaza is not a new civic space, within our scheme, it is treated as a tabula rasa in which a series of transformable ‘mobile civic centres’ can propagate. Each of these mobiles, containing a unique program, can accrue; thus creating a mosaic of attractions that can form new webs of relationships formerly not possible. |
