The object and the urban context

We recognise the possibility of the object’s expansion, thought of as a symbolic, articulating and active point, in a urban context governed by an archaic urban tracing. As one of the most ancient stadiums in the United States, the Wrigley Field of Chicago exemplifies the transitional changes that may occur as a city flourishes. Because demand for seating exceeded Stadium capacity, neighbouring apartment rooftops were colonized by additional seating tiers, in order to accommodate more viewers.

We are interested in the idea of overcoming the street to mutate (transform) and synchronize the public and private, absorbing space which is excluded in urban participation.

The limits have merged, modifying the shape of the expanding object, surrounding it, or focusing on strategic points… the result is a new net, synonymous of a new urban and parallel trace, filtering through the city, emphasizing its value.
