The airport runways and infrastructure are reflected in the density of the city and movement of people through the MICROPOLIS. The density of the city is in synch with the acceleration and deceleration of the plane on the runway, as indicated by the runway markings. Seasonal crops, grown on the tops of the city buildings, reflect a slower speed. The movement of people through the city shapes the architecture; wherever the people-movers, color-marked according to speed, intersect the buildings of the city, the architecture is carved. Where the city slows down, or rather where recreation and public program occur, more curvaceous and blob-like forms appear, attaching in a spore-like manner to the carved buildings in the city. The program of the city becomes more dynamic and fast paced as the density increases. At the top of the city, visitors and residents alike can visit the horse-track, play roulette in a casino, or dance the night away at a disco.
