Frames linking existing fabric and repairing it will appear where needed to form centres in Everyville. Touching the built environment lightly, they will be flexible, easy to expand or remove. In time these structures will support small centres within each community, housing volumes of lightweight material. Each volume’s function will be defined by Everyville’s current needs.
Low-cost because of the lack of footprint and ease of construction, the new volumes will be able to accommodate galleries, camping grounds, markets, stacked residential plots, sports facilities- all within reach of the community. City dwellers will be able to own green plots within these centres. Flexibility of the structure will allow these dynamic centres to transform themselves from night to day, season by season. As the centres grow, the structure will expand, climbing on top of existing buildings, weaving through the city’s fabric.
