The concept of flexibility is the basis for our idea of modular elements, a series of inflatable structures with a base gifted with wheels, which allow them to move on the railway and to be aggregated, for example under a reticular sheeting or close to a wall to be reconverted; the route of this railway lines consents to assembly this inflatable modules in order to create new public spaces, with more or less density as needed.
This project tries to find the best solution to main problems in a case of new urban agglomerate, like economic limits and energetic sustainability. The energetic problem is solved closing area to road traffic, concentrating movement fluxes to the electric railway and convoying foot-traffic to green fitted out areas; the economic limits are solved with our modular elements, which allow to reconvert old areas, within necessity to build new structures, and create a new idea of public and residential space, configurable as required.
