In order to accomplish the aforementioned goals we came up with the idea of a complex organism of social networking and transport fluxes that would irrigate the city as a whole, departing from the city center and loosing complexity and momentum in a “coriolis-like” movement. This tendency is represented by the Octopus. Its head represents the Epicenter of the City, as it does in this animal’s usual environment. The city center is the most complex and dense place, it is also the most versatile place. However, its reactions can be felt all along the City, and whatever happens in its outskirts is deemed to trigger the appropriate reactions in its “head-center”, making this City a living and autonomous organism.
