TRANSPORT
Besides walking, the main mode of transport along the routes will be via rented bicycles available at visitors parking. Bicycles can be collected at bottom of the route via electrically powered vehicles.
POWER
Solar power:
To install parabolic solar panels along the “captured green” runways.
All roofs of “sunflower pods” will incorporate solar panels. The locations of the panels follow a cluster of spiral patterns inspired by sunflowers.
Wind power:
Where possible, to install wind turbines adjacent to the route.
Use of solar cooker for occasional cooking.
Consider use of biomass or even geothermal power.
WATER
All grey water & road surface water runoffs to be collected & stored in the tunnel reservoirs, forming the rainwater harvesting runways. This water to be used for irrigation in the summer months.
WASTE REUSE
The earth excavated for the new A3 route will be used as bedding for the new landscape runways.
COST
The project anticipated cost is 35 million euros.
