Solar South Highlands is a research environment, on the abandoned 7,5 km long southern lane of the highway between Scilla and Bagnara.
The resources available:
-water, to fulfill canalization and storage in the former galleries: the water spots are meant to foster birds' landing (migration courses towards Africa pass through this area), for fire emergency, for water hosing (in a forest area of 60 hectares below viaducts) and for irrigation.
-solar energy, for trees cultivation program, for photovoltaic and natural depuration of waters coming from mountains, rainfall and fog.
The general purpose is zero-impact: half of old highway will maintain its ground.
On to a serpentine is delineated a cycling track witch connects the entire system of integrated nets providing fog to water and solar electricity productions, and vertical rampant vegetation standing for shadow projection.
All yard tracks and ancient footpaths will integrate the park to join the project.
