Structures of 675m2 per viaduct will cost around 2 Million Euros (M€); 2900 €/m2. Cost for 10 viaducts would be 20M€. The watering system (ex: rain water gathering) of the sunflower fields will cost around 10M€, and recycling system around 4M€. Thus the total project cost is estimated to be 34 Million Euros.
Inspired from and respecting nature, we aimed to better integrate the park to the landscape and reconcile the viaducts with nature. A key aspect of our project is its ability to produce energy; thus being sustainable. With the sunflower’s bio-fuel potential, surplus energy is produced and local agriculture boosted. The park would generate three times the energy it consumes; benefit to the local community with employment and new social spaces. This unique park would also be a training park displaying endemic plants. This way, aside from renewable energy, sustainability, and the sunflower, visitors would also learn about the local endemic vegetation.
