Sunflowers, with their face following the sun, have been our design’s source of inspiration. The viaducts located in the project area are formidable unnatural structures that initially had blemished the natural landscape. By adopting a sunflower theme, our main design principle is to “re-naturalize” and “re-integrate” these structures to nature.
Spaces below the viaducts will be utilized as sunflower fields to produce potential bio-fuel, and there will be greening by vertical planting on the viaduct feet. On the viaducts’ side with sea view, there will be public areas, cafés, restaurants, shops, and sunflower processing area where all produce obtained from sunflower (seed, oil, and bio-fuel from sunflower oil) will be produced and exhibited. Roofs facing south will be covered with photovoltaic elements, while those facing north will be covered with plants.
