A highly flexible and adaptable steel armature composed of continuous double spirals and intermittent rings acts as the unifying scaffold for the proposed Parco Solare Sud. Its sense of continuity gives architectural expression to the park's unique footprint. The armature is the highly visible and memorable signature design feature that will be seen from the air, land and sea.

Its ability to expand and compress allows for the accommodation of all imaginable programs: Solar and wind energy production typologies; research laboratories; an administration/visitor center. Enclosed programs such as the research laboratories and the administration/visitor center receive multifaceted, partially glazed skins that will be suspended from the armature.

The remaining tract of former highway serve as access road. Electric shuttle buses operate between Scilla and Bagnaro Calabra. Five designated bus stops mark and operate as park entrances at critical locations.
