| as part of the renovation of an existing townhouse in kensington, london, we have created a conservatory with views up the thames. it’s complex facetted surface has demanded a parametric description such that it is in fact described as an ‘elastic’ model, open to reformulation by contractor, engineer, etc. internally it is sheathed with a series of retractable triangular blinds which constantly adjust, giving it a sheathed, cocoon-like character. |
