| Without political, aesthetic, or economic agendas, PANLUMEN receives input on-site or off, re-mixes and re-projects it into physical urban space.
12 projectors (on a central kiosk) emit text and image data; a combination of recent input, and searches made by on-site visitors (at the kiosk).
The data pool is an accumulation of input over history.
Images and text are projected on inhabitants and PANLUMEN's dichroic glass surface (the ultimate tabla rasa: it fluctuates from transparency (no data, no presence) to opacity (saturation).
The form, a spherical section, is self supporting (Minimal Structure).
Each panel supports adjacent panels as they all push inward simultaneously.
Spatially the circle is a hub for surrounding urban avenues. |
