| Mary Lou Maher and Ning Gu are part of the Virtual Architecture Group within the Key Centre of Design Computing and Cognition in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Sydney; known for advances in Artificial Intelligence in Design, Computer Support for Collaborative Design, Design Cognition and Virtual Architecture. The Group has developed virtual campus environments in Active Worlds, LambdaMOO, and Teamwave. Research projects in 3D multiuser virtual environments have been funded by the Australia Research Council and as a Collaborative Research Centre for Construction Innovation. Recent design projects have been submitted to the ETH World Competition and the 2000 FEIDAD Award and published in “Cyberspace” by Images. |
