| Adriana Mot is a graduate of University of Waterloo, Canada with studies abroad in Italy and Romania. She participated in many competitions receiving awards such as The First Prize of Mr. Joe Somfay's Energy + Design Award for Energy Efficiency in Design (1999) and the Honorable Mention at Shinkenchiku-sha International Membrane Competition (1998). As Principal of Adriana Mot Design since 1996, she guided the Toronto based practice through a series of projects varying from architectural work (residential, furniture, space planning) to video production, set and costume design. Special interest of the firm lies in the particular use of information from various disciplines in the design of contemporary works in architecture and beyond. |
