| _Energy Spectrum_ recalibrates the former A3 autostrada from a hydrocarbon to a solar driven infrastructure, whereby the system of viaducts and tunnels establish a conduit by which to interweave the region’s cultural and energy resources. As one component in Calabria’s growing investment in renewable energy power facilities [which include wind, biomass, and geothermal], _Energy Spectrum_ proposes a set of strategies intended to facilitate energy generation, transmission, and transformation. A series of trails and paths thereby integrate PV arrays with runoff collection, recreational activities, and agricultural festivals [sagres] as a means of connecting tourist with villager, coast with plateau [fig 1 & 3]. |
