The photovoltaic panels are situated on top of the roadway, face south with a slope of 25 degrees. A cheaper alternative to photovoltaic panels would be to use concentrated solar power, soon available on the market. The pillars that are cave inside contain a wind turbine that is activated by the draft created by the stack effect. The greenhouses at the bottom of the pillars heat the air that naturally rises at the top of the stack activating a wind turbine that creates energy. To enhance the stack effect the pillars are painted with a black colour, alternatively some photovoltaic panels can be put against the pillars. The total cost for the prototype is: 27.000 euros for the photovoltaic panels, 3.500 euros for the turbines and 5000 euros for the greenhouses
