The core of “Parco Solare Sud” is a mobility ring connecting Scilla and Bagnara, bisected by a spine system integrating the coast and the uplands along the valleys.
The spine system increases the value of the landscape, its capacity in energy production and agriculture, and allows access to natural areas for recreation.
The ring functions as internal sustainable mobility system connected to the road network by interchange hubs.
The reuse of parts of the highway, tunnels, landmark bridges and coastline, provide the existing amenities for the most important leisure, tourist and academic-scientific functions of the park.
These proposals aim to generate a wide regional hub by creating a strong image of cultural-scientific value for the area, attracting new investments and professionals and enhancing local culture and development.
Three strategies will recuperate the initial costs: entrance tickets, selling of energy produced and teaching programs in the renewable energies sector.
