|drdharchitects is a young, London based architecture practice, established in 2000 by Daniel Rosbottom and David Howarth. The practice works at a variety of scales and situates its projects within a wider research context, including teaching and writing on art and architecture. The projects engage with the complex, layered conditions of the contemporary city. This is continually explored in relation to the issues and materials of construction. The practice seeks to create a tectonic, material and experiential architecture that is appropriate, contemporary and rooted in its context, at all scales.
The practice has achieved critical recognition both for its built work and in competition and have been published widely. In 2007 the Practice was chosen by the American Institute of Architects for New Practice: London, an exhibition at its New York gallery.
In 2005 the practice was placed second in the UK Young Architect of the Year Award|
