_the program asked for new uses for the “lanserhaus”, a medieval building downtown eppan/appiano, südtirol, italy. it was also requested the design of the large space on the back, currently just an open field. the answer was a “soft” intervention on the precious building (only an extern glass elevator was added) and a new concept for the “knight’s plaza”. the latter was left as an “open” space offered to the creativeness of the local people. the only designed infrastructures were a wide gradin, different kinds of surfaces and a “stage” equipped with a metal structure (whose shape reminded the one of a famous local castle) to be used according to the different activities.
