Sited along the north top of the University Campus, close to a parking zone and a traffic axis, the Library tries to relate itself to an ambiguous reality, as a sign of that intention appears the flexible facade that changes according to visitor’s progressive proximity|
The project started by the adaptation of a pre-existent building and the development of a new body lodging the reading rooms and the books deposit. With a ramp system, all the reading rooms, spread by different levels, are connected. Each one of them has a special light treatment that determinates a variety of singles atmospheres.
The construction solution is a simple steel-concrete structure, with a singular texture made by a previous stakes treatment|
