| designed for a cemetery in seattle, washington it is imperative that this resting place is non-denominational. one hundred niches are created for all different nationalities, religions, and ways of life. the curtain opposite the columbarium wall is made up of plates that relate directly to each niche across the space. as an urn is entombed, a plate of glass-mounted hydrogenous polyurethane is attached. this 1½ “ resin is cast to a texture to emulate the cell structure of flesh. this slowly erodes due to the stresses of wind, rain, and heat. |
