| the concept for villa vroom is generated by the flexible soft form of an envelope, similar to a topological surface, which wraps around inside and outside spaces. this design allows to merge the program with the circulation in and around the house into one single continuum. it creates a kind of hybrid space, an in-between-skins ambient, which permits the clients to sit outside in a covered space and be protected from the views of the surrounding houses. specific cut-outs in the roof envelope are generated to control the exposure to direct sunlight or to reduce the view corridors of surrounding taller buildings of the residential neighbourhood. |
