THE ENDLESS GREEN Sesto San Giovanni (MI)
The idea arises from the analysis of the context, the "Ex-Falck area" and presents some typical features of the industrial buildings that strongly characterized this compendium, such as steel structure that constitutes the building's frame. The design also reinterprets another typical element of Milan's residential architecture: the inner courtyards. These elements are imagined as socialization areas for residents, which go through the entire building and reach to roof. In fact, the courts develop on various floors, these are visible from outside and are characterized by a strong presence of greenery. This color, the green, has also been taken up to characterize the facades for which the use of majolics of different shapes has been planned, reflecting the light in various ways, creating a dynamic effect similar to the movement of the leaves of the trees.
