| The idea of the project of the Cultural Center in Warsaw situated on the outskirts of the capital has been strongly influenced by the rural context of the building. The area at the moment being swallowed by the urban sprawl of Warsaw not long time ago could have been characterized by loose rural dwelling and animal husbandry. In order to refer to the traditional housing and to create as much public space as possible the main function of the cultural center was located underground, while smaller functions were scattered in the form of iconic houses. |
