Studio UC/ Klaus Overmeyer was founded by the landscape architect, Klaus Overmeyer as a sequel to the international research project, Urban Catalyst (2001-2003). Studio UC operates in the challenging field of urban development, which is today characterized by eclectic transformational processes that landscape architecture is increasingly unable to address alone. By cooperating with an extensive network of experts in architecture, visual communications, management consultancy, sociology, exhibition design and ecology, Klaus Overmeyer succeeds in elaborating operational methods and tools as strategies for complex locational developments. Activation models integrate all material and social resources. Questioning the status quo and transgressing borders is the mainspring of the office. Klaus Overmeyer won the National Award for Landscape Architecture, Germany 2003. He is visiting professor al the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany.
