FRANCESCO DRAISCI (Foggia 13.04.66) Lives and works in London as an architect and installation artist. His practice is open to contamination and cross-fertilisation between different disciplines and scenarios. Experimental installations and commercially commissioned work are often developed in a new territory, very close to the blurring boundaries of architecture, art and design. He studied architecture in Florence, where co-founded the experimental design group Zoom Ahead in 1993. He worked for Richard Rogers Partnership and with Ron Arad Associates, exhibited at the V&A in London and the Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2005 he was the winner of the 40 architects under 40 competition. He has lectured in London, Cambridge, Eindhoven and currently teaching at Istituto Marangoni London. Recently merged with Silvio Caputo architects to focus more on possible sustainable design scenarios.
