This was an international competition to design a master plan for the 256-acre Penang Turf Club site in Penang, Malaysia. The “design embraces both the natural landscape of the site and contemporary urbanism, generating a new, 21st-century image for Penang. The new precinct complements the existing character of the city and takes advantage of the lushness of the surrounding mountainous landscape by pulling it into the urban fold.
