Lima, Peru
Unlike most of the cases when we have had to design apartment buildings, the size of the lot in this project is closer to a city block. This allows for reconsidering the way in which Lima has been densifying with collective housing. So, instead of the conventional solution, where every single space in the ground floor is parceled and sold individually, our project places the built mass towards the boundaries in such way that enough critical mass of open space is concentrated to constitute an inner park. This way we retake successful housing typologies from city history when public life happened inside the blocks.
