The project site, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, is located in the northwest part of the island. Considering hot and humid climate, the design aims to create a main plaza among three seperate laboratory blocks and define the space by a canopy on the top. The canopy projects over the pedestrian alley and enframes Mediterranean Sea. Serving as the common space for the laboratories, Main Plaza provides wind chill effect by the prevailing wind blowing from the sea.
