3rd Prize - Marmomacc International Architecture and Design Competition 2012 / Archi-Europe - Belgium & Veronafiere - Italy. // The restaurant building is planned as a dramatic landmark for the urban design project in Odemis-Turkey. Defining the main square and the ceremony space proposed for the city, the restaurant is structured through a rock metaphor. The building mimics a rock rising from the ground and is shaped according to the natural and the artificial environment. The restaurant draws a sharp boundary with the main square, cantilevering over the lower square and the neighboring landscape. The contrast between the black slate finishing on the façade and the red colored interior complements the dramatic effect and makes the building more inviting.
