38" islands", divided in 3 housing blocks, united in a "social archipelago". Each "island" is surrounded by its coast, that defines the boundary between public and private domain, giving the inhabitants a broad spectrum of degrees of sociality. Every apartment has its own private domain on 2 sides and the opportunity to choose the physical definition of the boundary ( eg. walls, plants, wood ). The "archipelago" is divided into three blocks, situated on the Eats-West axis, giving protection to the North winds and unifying the 2 different plots in a rythmic alternation of strips.
