To guarantee this effective participative and dynamic role of the educational institutions, these have to be truly integrated and participate effectively to the urban life. Besides from the former military area, chosen in the UDP for the new Campus, many areas of Pejë are living deep transformations and transition dynamics. We started to think about what could it happen if the University was physically “into” this processes? What if the Campus became an open urban laboratory? What if the potential of these urban voids, mainly the abandoned military camp and the former industrial area along the Lumbardhi River, was pushed more forward, enhancing the differences and the specific attitude of each area? What if some temporary activities could help in this process, showing from now, with low investments, new possible scenarios and making the Vision grow?
