Crossing the mountains from below, brings the glance toward the mountains, to admire the giant rocks, the majesty of the walls, the weather changing over the peaks. Following this principle, the building frames the beautiest Dolomites landscapes. The project interprets the landscape not merely from a contemplative point of view but pursues the idea of an overall integration between architecture and surrounding environment. On the local level, the volume of the old building is redistributed on the horizontal plane, so as to re-establish a new dialogue with the slopes and the adjacent milking shed. Life in contact with nature enhances the value of time: interiors are designed following this idea, so to welcome and accomodate visitors. The integration between architecture and territory appears also on the technological level, through the use of traditional building techniques and local resources expertises.
