The overall design of the building is based upon the adoption of simple technical solutions with low economic/environmental impact. The articulated composition of essential devices (technical and spatial), gives the building an innovative formal identity and a certain richness of space. The 60 apartments are doubly oriented and their simple structural system allows for flexible typologies. The design of a southern façade that "dematerializes" in the landscape through different layers is inspired by clothing, in which the suporposition of several sets of textures and transparency blurs the contrast between the body and the apparel. Similarly, in this project, the transition between inside and outside and between the individual and the collective fiels is not sharp, the front expanding to accomodate an in-between space that can be adapted to external conditions and privacy requirements.
