ART FUND PAVILION
LONDON
A pavilion with a double soul: an inside space for art experience and an outside place for thought and break. This configuration allows to use the entire site as an exhibition place and it optimizes the relation between inside and outside. A tape of wooden boxes leads the visitors inside the circular pavilion made opaline thanks to polycarbonate slashes. The central plan maximizes the ratio between surface and volume and it is suitable for a multiform place like this. Three spatial configurations (exhibition, presentation and party space) have in common a single element the continuos basement. This is the base for the works of art, the sitting place during the conferences or the background for parties. The basement is pleasent also outside where it becomes a long bench to enjoy summer.
