C HOUSE
MOLA DI BARI (BA)
Two volumes, one entirely made of white plaster and one covered with a horizontal timber sheathing, lean on a concrete basement wall that separate the house ambit from the garden: its openings design a diversified continuity between the internal space (completely free from walls) and the external, this one conceived as extension of the living zone. The house, divided in two floors, is the result of the transformation of an old warehouse (north-south oriented), located near the coast of Mola di Bari. Inside the plastered volume, at the upper floor, there is the sleeping area, while in the wooden volume there is a double height space. All the elements of the construction are designed starting from a 100 cm module, both in plant and in section, that comes from the dimension of the “tufo” stone (25 cm).
