Chipboard, crates and cable strap: With simple material the audience in the Kristallsaal in Waidhofen is invited for creative interaction. Within the context of the musicfestival projrkt:natur 2009 Explicit Architecture was invited the gallery raumimpuls to design for the event. Based on the Tetris game and in cooperation with the architect Norbert Steiner (SPUTNIC), modular seating for the audience was designed. The basis is a square wooden platform, divided into modules in tetris-shapes equipped with castor wheels. Red crates were the second construction element. The audience was invited to build their seats as single, double or multi person device. Before, while and after the following concert by [ko:er], the band of the composer and singer Susanne Ridler, the hall was filled by the dynamic of this furniture. The interaction and participation of the audience became an integrated part of this remarkable sound experience.
