According to the competition requirements for this day nursery in terms of cost effectiveness, prefabricate use and energy spare, we organized the building in a very compact plan, a square modular scheme that enclosed all the functions reducing to the minimum the surface in contact with external environment. The distribution concept is based on a wide central space, a kind of covered court, which would be at the same time the access for all secondary rooms and the main indoor playing space for the bad season. Avoiding corridors and reducing the connection spaces, the whole surface can be used for activities while the visual understanding of the functional program is easy and intuitive also for the small primary users. The tall skylight towers differently oriented on the roof surface, will supply natural light and air circulation according to the exigencies of the season and the phase of the day.
