Water Treatment Park Het Lankheet
Haaksbergen - mentioned
A functional and pleasant water garden The Lankheet estate has a centuries-old tradition with water. Water features on the estate retain runoff water and gradually release it using a tried and tested agricultural technique: pasture inundation. In the past a creek used to service the estate but now it is the other way around. Water is purified in a natural manner using reed beds in a terraced system. This technical experiment has been translated into a poetic water display. The project was rewarded with an honorary mention by Premio Internazionale Torsanlorenzo 2009
