The occasion for the design of the Church dedicated to St. Pio from Pietrelcina in Rome was a restricted competition held in 2005. On a trapezoid lot a highly articulated volume has been conceived as a metaphorical collision of telluric plates. They generate complex configurations in which the multiple fractures are intented to express the power held in the message of St. Pio.
