Masterplan Campus University of Bordeaux
Bordeaux
The structures of the current campus have become obsolete, resulting in meaningless green spaces. DS proposed that public and green spaces must become recognizable through programming with natural and social functions that will breathe new life into the park. The results are three types of “cultivated” landscapes: a Forest of white-barked trees wrapping around an amphitheater, a Prairie of rough lawn with solitary trees as transition between the Forest and the Field where a lake is set into a perfectly level plane with nothing to obstruct the horizon. Unity is achieved through the use of a warm white flowering trees and blooms throughout the design.
