Lesa - first prize
The project for the lakeside and for the renovation of public places of Lesa on lake Maggiore has two purposes: a closer relation between the town centre and the lake and restore a richness of uses for the public spaces close to the water, important for the city and basic for the tourism.
A new and largher stony lakeside has wodden benches on the city square, big containers of corten for the plants and parts of the floor of a decorated recycled plastic. The quay for the landing of small boats is remake with hardwood of Ipe (coming from a reforestation program). The project has received the Euroflora award “città del verde” in 2006 and have been published on national magazines like Domus and Casabella.
