Overlapping Living with Learning, the new plan for the Novo Mesto University Campus proposes a confluence of the two. Sited in the Drgancevje forest, the proposed footprint plan bleeds into the seductive natural setting with its loosely crystallized forms shaped by the interaction of people with places. Utilizing the lush forest as its most precious material, the plan gingerly converts long-abandoned military magazines into a unified network of education with little additional felling; the building footprints remain while their forms create a vertical dialogue with the interwoven forest.
