Weather is something we cannot control, but it impacts all of us living on the earth. Weather is also a common topic to start a conversation, or to comment on when there is nothing else to say. Airquarium (2004) was a commissioned installation with a network link to Shanghai, for the Contemporary Art Museum in Oslo. It was created in collaboration with people/students from Oslo Art Academy: Svarovski, Johannisson, Larsen, Oledal, Storm, Pajchel. Real-time weather data from Shanghai weather station was controlling the installation in Oslo. The Airquarium-bubbles were simulating the results; one was wind-situation, the other was humidity. Audience could experience limited shanghai-weather situation by putting their heads inside the bubbles.
