Stem
London - invited
Stem presents a legalised trade in stem cell production from adipose fat tissue. It foretells a scenario where people in need of an economic income, use their bodies to farm adipose stem cells for money. Extrapolating from current scientific research, Stem explores the future relationship between producers and the medical industry. With stem cell research becoming more prevalent in our society this piece of work offers a form of debate in what could become a very near reality. Consequently Stem questions the Rich and Poor’s increasing polarisation and their extremes of body morphology in response to a market economy.
