E-Sparks
Rome - selected
E-Sparks (’06, Annunziato, Pierucci), it is a creative exploration of an artificial society that autonomously creates the own language, through the interaction with the humans: a metaphor to use the artificial creatures as a mirror of our mind and society. In the installation, the creatures move inside evocative images and interact with the visitors through a microphone and a videocamera. They are equipped with "sensors" to see and listen to the visitors and an artificial brain to elaborates the information, learn the visitors sentences and produce vocalizes. Interacting with the visitors, the creatures are able to reconstruct a network of relations between the visitor sentences and become every day more able to establish an ambiguous dialogue with the visitors using the sentences learned by previous visitors. Selected for a show at Mercati di Traiano in the Roman imperial forum www.plancton.com/esparks/esparks.htm
