trousse d'habitat
Gatineau, Quebecc
As part of a group exposition entitled “House boat / Occupation Symbiotique”. The project wanted to explore, through the vacant lots around the gallery, the phenomena of the urban tissue’s dismantlement and how the community temporarily occupies those places. Notwithstanding social background or cultural origin, man has the desire to transform his habitat according to his needs. From the improvised nomadic space to the traditional sedentary garden, similar components can be found (access, limits, comfort). Trousse d’habitat uses those similarities to build the installation. It delimits a territory and draws a private path to access the nest of rest and comfort.
